New Tablet PC By Google And Asus this May ?

Rumor about cooperation between Google and Asus to make a tablet PC with low price is booming  on internet. The latest news said that this May we will see the tablet PC . Digitimes gives information that this 7 inches will be sold with competitive price and not too far away with Amazon Kindle Fire, which is about 199 $.

Form Asus angle, they don’t give official press conference while Google said that they in mission to find partner for manufacture based on Taiwan since the end of last year. Beside Asus, there are some potential partner  such as Acer and HTC.

The source said a lil bit where HTC , although they have ability in design  but they has head strong to create a model Co-Brand. They also said that HTC  is not interesting to develop gadget with low price that may destroy Brand Image from HTC which is known as Exclusive. While Acer, unfortunately doen’t have R&D ability.

In the end, Google choose Asus caused by ability of ODM and quality side which is Asus’s main course. Confidence and Asus’s  motivation to make cooperation with Google so get Google for facility developing device based on Android. Not only that Asus hopes will get many lesson about technology from Google to develop software and content. PC tablet made by Google and Asus is predicted being first device that use Google Play Store.

Android Market Time To Google Play

If you enter to Android Market, don’t be surprised if its name changes. Yeah, Google service to download applications for Android phone now changes its name to Google Play since early march. Google Play combines 3 services that it was separated before, they are Google Music, Google eBookstore, and Android Market. This new service make possible for users access and buy films, games, music, ebook, and applications in one stop place. This concept is similar with iTunes. 

Loss Of Android Market

Applications and games, both of them used to exist on Android Market now you can get it via Google Play. Then to get buyers, for 7 days after the launching, Google Play offers discount for renting movie, book, and music. The upgrade can be done over the air automatically.

This changes will erase Android Market and asking users to accept term of service for application Play, Music, Books, and Youtube Rentals ( Movie ). Users can buy the applications from desktop and choose the application will be sent to where the device. Then application will be installed automatically.

Google Play also has service similar with iCloud, Google guarantee all contents that had bought will be back-up and saved . Users can re-download data that removed or loss. On Google Play, users can save up to 20 thousand song freely.

Although has same concept , but Google Play has something iTunes not. Google Play can be accessed via browser, different with iTunes that must using local program that saved on local system. To overcome the dominance of Apple in digital music industry, Google also give low price than iTunes.

To buy content and applications on Google Play, you should has credit card that integrated with Google Wallet, that’s why all contents can’t be accessed in all countries. For example, In Japan, they only can accessed Apps, Game, and Movie, But for Android users in USA they can accessed all features.
