The United States Of America - Success in processor market
with Intel Sandy Bridge, now, Intel is
ready with new processor generation with
code name Ivy Bridge. As newest processor generation , it sure this processor
Intel Ivy Bridge has newest technology. Several, newest architecture
generation, manufacture process 22 nm, Intel 3-D Tri-Gate Transistor, etc.
There was a development of newest technology, of course later Intel Ivy Bridge
Processor will able to offer higher computation performance for users.
Intel has planned to develop processor technology on Sandy
Bridge and now has plan 22 nm manufacture process, so created third processor
generation Core I with its name Ivy Bridge. Micro architecture Ivy Bridge is not too far from Sandy Bridge so
there is possibility for mainboard based Sandy Bridge users, using Ivy Bridge only with doing firmware update (
for some vendors ).
In long time period Intel has announced , start to produce
Ivy Bridge chip in third quarter of 2011 and the target till April 2012, now
you can find them in market officially. This thing being Intel focus to develop
Sandy Bridge for more perfect with Ivy Bridge.
Intel Ivy Bridge Feature
Ivy Bridge is launched that brought many features to make
perfect Sandy Bridge, here they are :
- Transistor Tri-Gate (3D ) technology, with power consumption
save up to 50% than transistor 2D
- Full support PCI 3.0
- Maximum Multiplier CPU until 63 times ( on Sandy Bridge maximum is 57 times )
- Support RAM up to 2800 MT/s in 200 MHz
- Integrated with Intel HD 2500/400 that support DirectX 11,
OpenGL 3.1 and OpenCL 1.1
- Built-in GPU has 16 EUS compared Sandy Bridge only 12
- Intel Quick Sync Video
- For mobile processor, it has low voltage
Intel also released TDP for all Core i Ivy Bridge, divided
into power, 77 watt, 65 watt, 55 watt, 45 watt and 35 watt for PC desktop,
while for mobile processor still in progress.
